September 18th, the LSCF hosted a Center open house, and the dedication of the renovated and renamed library.
The Levy Senior Center hosted the dedication of the renovated and renamed Joseph Levy, Jr. Library, this past Wednesday, September 18th. Evanston Mayor Steve Hagerty opened the ceremony, and close friends of Joe and his rabbi shared fond and often funny memories and stories. Joe was a generous man, who mentored many, and was well loved.
Refreshments followed in the Rothschild Garden, where the community was able to mingle, eat, and enjoy the beautiful plantings. The center was open to explore, and classes and groups hosted in each room were posted outside. Meaning, even regulars had a chance to learn something new.
